Following on from Dr G's mention on here last night, I've tweeted the Force to ask them about the possibility of a Ladies' Night during the 2013 season. I have volunteered my time to help organise and spread the word, and suggested proceeds could maybe go to the Force's chosen charity for this year and/or Nathan Charles' CF charity.
I have since had support for the idea from Nathan and Pek. As so many women follow and love the game here in WA, I really think it would be a great success.
Would any women on TWF, or wives/partners of the men on TWF, be interested in going to a Ladies' Night if one were organised? I was thinking of a cocktail-type function like the one the Reds have had in the past. Maybe we could enlist the support of Angela Tsun as she has such a high profile in Perth and is of course a rugby first lady!
Comments? Thoughts?

Good Idea. Two ladies in this household would be interested.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Definitely. Would be nice to have a girl's night out and I'm sure I could get some friends along and convert them to a real sport!

So you mean a Ladies Night that is not based around going to the rugby (like the Pink Jersey night they have every year)?

Women should not be involved in rugby. Its a mans game. Always has been.
Go Neddies.

Sounds good to me
I am all for it I think it's a great initative and should have some serious weight put behind it get out to all the local junior clubs because I bet dollars to doughnuts there are countless mums who are running water bottles washing rugby jumpers socks ect who love the game just as much as their husbands and kids and in some cases I dare so more so

if its close to the city and contains cocktails, I know a young lady who could be keen.
