NSW Waratahs centre Rob Horne will miss the start of the Super Rugby season with a hamstring injury.
Waratahs coach Michael Cheika confirmed on Tuesday the injury-plagued Horne has been ruled out for at least one month.
"Definitely Horne's out... four to six weeks I'd say," Cheika said.
Winger Drew Mitchell is in doubt for Thursday night's final trial in Sydney against the Crusaders with a calf injury.
Cheika also confirmed 22-year-old Southern Districts five-eighth Ben Volavola will start at No.10 with Berrick Barnes (knee) and Bernard Foley (ankle) both missing the match due to injury
