So what's likely to happen this weekend?
There are 4 pools of five teams, with Nedlands and Cottesloe in the pool of death, and Palmyra and Uni only having to worry about each other in their pool. The other pools have pre-determined winners unless miracles happen.
Should be fun in the finals.
Nedlands to win.
“In 1823, William Webb Ellis first picked up the ball in his arms and ran with it. And for the next 156 years forwards have been trying to work out why.” - Sir Tasker Watkins (1979)
Clubs which entered teams were sent the pool draw. Someone read it out to me and that's all I remember of it.
I believe its at the local school on Saturday. Gloucester Oval?

Looks supiciously to me like there's a second Wanneroo side in there. Pool D?
Just played with google - Carrumbine or Osborne Park for H.E? Baysie?
I know several 1st grade mungos playing for FRESH and the likes.

I do know how to get to Margaret River Gerry.
The question is whether the WA rugby supporters who predominantly live in Perth would drive for seven hours return trip to see a local sevens tournament.
I believe many more would if it was held within a reasonable distance from town.
Dear Fulvio,
Think Royalties for Regions and other govt funding for major events in the country.
Well, thats great. But sadly I won't be there...
It's in Margaret River because RWA want to turn it into an invitational tournament of international recognition. Royalties for Regions, TourismWA and Olympic funding means that there is very small cost to RWA and promotion of the region internationally is the trade off of said funding.
RWAs vision is to have Margaret River 7s a part of the World 7s Series like Gold Coast or Dubai.
Like the cup comp that was poo pooed by yourself, at least RWA is looking at ways to take rugby forward in this state. Nothing has changed in far too long in local ranks and no results have been achieved. New comp structures, 7s tournaments and the cup comp may not be popular with all (especiall Wanneroo and Baysie) but change is needed.
What's the definition of insanity?
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
There are 3 types of people in this world, those that can count and those that can't
