joondalup and mandurah games should be good close matches. Curtin and Arks bonus point wins.
Southern Lions are usually much stronger. Won the 2nd grade last week and may be turning the corner.
Don't write off Swans... Have some big bruisers who love contact and could improve dramatically with more attention to detail.
Swan do have some big boys and are a decent team, Curtin should still take the points. Southern Lions will lose at least 30 points. The other games should be much more interesting.
Mandurah 99 - 0 UWA
Joondalup 30 - 12 Rocky
Southern Lions 14 - 65 Arks
Swan 5 - 45(ish) Curtin
wot the f**k happened in the mandurah game i have no idea - is that a typo or did they actually put 99 points on UWA? arks and curtin scores, no suprises.
Ouch!!

Swan, while having some very big boys, is a team of individuals who would benefit greatly from leadership on the field. I've seen 'em twice this year and in both games discipline has been their main issue. In the first game I saw them they were very competitive, probably because they jumped out of the blocks and had double-figures before the oppo had scored. Yesterday, however, they were let down by discipline almost from the outset. A couple of factors for that, imho: quite a few of their players had already played in the previous (albeit shortened) game and they were double-figures behind quite early on.
in the first game of the season they got beat 66-12 against Curtin so i'm not sure what you mean by very competitive, however, they are a better team than some of the scores against them would suggest. their lack of discipline has definitely been their downfall, especially on the weekend when their big center got yellow carded, then red carded for starting on the ref, then was going to come on the field with a flag pole, and still confronted the ref in the car park. some good players, definately but now, with one of their best players looking at a lengthy ban i'm not sure if they can pick up the pieces of their season.
Joondalup 1st XV 30 vs Rockingham 2nd XV 12
Joondalup 2nd XV 22 vs Rockingham 3rd XV 0
If the ref incident is true, 2 years min. There's no room for that in club rugby.

makes sense! ha
I noticed Southern Lions 2nds have improved in their last two games.
ARKS and Curtin need to be looking over their shoulders as Joondalup and Mandurah are improving each week. Rocky would be disappointed with results so far.
Hopefully RWA is doing something to encourage Kwinana and Bunbury to grow and get into 2nd Grade next year.
Mandurah are a much better team now than there were at the beginning of the season, however, they still aren't where they were at last year. Joondalup v Curtin on the weekend will show how well Joondalup are going. Rocky seem to be close, not sure what has happened to UWA, they were competitive against curtin...any shed any light on what happened on the weekend?
