Western Force are set for a distinct South African flavour next season, both in their playing ranks and coaching set-up.
David Wessels, last year's Force defence consultant, looks likely to team up with Kevin Foote, his former coaching partner at Cape Town University.
Foote replaced Wessels at the Force for a couple of months last season when he returned to South Africa and is tipped to replace former backs and attack coach Steve Meehan.
Foote, a former Springboks sevens captain, helped Wessels take University of Cape Town to their first Varsity Cup title two years ago.
Wessels is one of South Africa's best tacticians and helped turn the Stormers into one of Super Rugby's tightest defensive sides.
The Force have already signed emerging Springbok Wilhelm Steenkamp as a marquee international after more than 50 Super Rugby games for the Bulls, Cheetahs and Sharks.
He will be joined by centre Marcel Brache and tighthead prop Chris Heiberg from Western Province.
It is understood the Force are closer to signing former club favourite Tai McIsaac as their new forwards coach to replace Nick Stiles.
McIsaac, who retired in 2009, is coaching in Japan but spent time with Force staff last month.
Great news about Tai if that comes about.
May the FORCE be with you!
Wessels is applying for a residency visa so looks like he's defo staying too :-))

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
He's had a haircut since those days
