No WACA test for 2014/15 season

Theres a clause in the membership that you can use once and thats to not pay the fees and not attend the Cricket for one season. I assume for people that might work away for an extended period

I wonder if anyone may be looking to activate that given the lack of a Test match for next season

Use the reciprocal rights of the membership to get to any of the other tests.

But, it's only India - I reckon that the WACA have dodged a bullet.

Only time I have used recipricol rights it to go a Swans vs Geelong footy game at the SCG back in 2009.

You have little chance of using it for an actual Cricket game given the conditions attached, like Elf said often it doesn not open up until day 3 or 4 and usually depends on the opposition

We used reciprocal rights to watch a domestic ODI at the MCG on the last InnForcers tour to Melbourne. Easy to get into domestic games.

Of course, Cricket Australia has taken away domestic ODI's from all grounds, including the WACA, next year so they can run a 'carnival' of games in Sydney (only).

All we need is for CA to ban full strength beer from the WACA members and the trifecta of getting fucked over will be complete.

Few rumours doing the rounds already that India don't want to play here in Perth due to the fast and bouncy nature of the WACA pitch

Wouldn't surpise me that Cricket Australia has sold out to their Indian masters for a few rupees

The official WACA email to members (the writer of which appears to be as devastated as us)states that "we expect to receive up to four limited overs matches as compensation over the summer".

So we can expect anywhere between zero and four matches over the summer. Thanks CA.
