Australian David Nucifora will be unveiled as the Irish Rugby Football Union's new performance director.
The IRFU confirmed that 52-year-old Nucifora will attend a press conference in Dublin on Thursday alongside the union's chief executive Philip Browne.
Brisbane-born Nucifora has previously served as the Australian Rugby Union's high performance manager.
He won two caps for Australia during the early 1990s, while he coached the Canberra-based Brumbies to the 2004 Super Rugby title and worked as technical adviser with the Auckland Blues before being appointed head coach in 2006.

Why do you hate the Irish so much?
I'd rather the Reds keep RG - means they'll be out of contention for another season!

Expect all the Irish provinces to have their academies amalgamated and shifted to Edinburgh.

A bum here and will oversee the demise of Ireland very quickly. Relocate everything to Belfast probably as he has no idea. Talentless player, talentless coach and talentless administrator. I am surprised that Queensland did not pick him up.
As a coach, his on-field tactics are pretty good, but his player-relations are terrible. I'm curious to see whether Ireland go straight up or straight down. Will be more surprised if nothing changes at all.
