I'm not an accountant, but:
it looks like the ARU spent $5.5m buying the Rebels and have committed a further $3m by way of a loan to them for 2013/14 (Note 19f on page 25 of the financial statements)
The payments made to each of the unions were (as per Note 18 on page 24 of the financial statements):
Qld - $1,782,000
NSW - $1,050,000 PLUS $1,819,00 for "community rugby in NSW"
Vic - $585,000
ACT & Southern NSW (?) - $244,000
NT - $272,000
SA - $260,000
TAS - $85,000
WA - $200,000
My question for the ARU - why is WA getting so little compared to the other jurisdictions? Even on a per head of population basis it's way short.
Any answers anyone?
Here are the important bits.
love it how the extra provided to the NSWRU isnt factored into the final amounts.
I actually asked Greg Clark about this Community Rugby deal when Waratahs Rugby announced it a few weeks back and his answer was "When Waratahs Rugby was set up a few years ago the deal was to bankroll NSW Community Rugby for "X" amount annually".
However this year they only announced that they had given $1 million, wonder where the other $819,000 has gone? More ground hire fees this year?? Is that what they pay Izzy to go visit the school kids???
Why don't we do the same, bankroll WA Community Rugby and get the ARU to pay for it, works well over east by the looks.
Any answers anyone??

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
The last time VRU got a "limited guarantee loan" was for the ARC. They used all bar 10 cents of the 3 mill!
Can someone tell me why the fuck every club team in Aussie from under 6's up have to pay a 200 dollar levy to the ARU this season
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
