The Queensland Reds will decide who will be their head coach in the next fortnight after Richard Graham was asked to re-apply for his job.
A Queensland Rugby Union review has recommended the roles of head coach, attack and defence coach be thrown open to applicants with a panel to finalise those appointments by early next month.
Speculation is mounting that Graham will be re-installed despite a woefully unsuccessful period at the helm of the Reds and the departures of key players Quade Cooper, Will Genia, James Horwill and James Hanson.
There will also be a new hierarchy in the Reds' coaching structure with a general manager of high performance to be installed and elevated above the head coach.

Hmm, interesting... was expecting something more final than this. I guess the fine print in a contract is all about interpretation.
I would expect more information will 'come out' about what's what within this next fortnight anyway
Starting to smell more and more like he's the bastard son of some high profile Queensland rugby identity.
He'll apply, and likely get the job. If they were going to sack him for poor performance they would have done it outright.

On the other hand this may be a way of getting rid of him and letting him save face by saying, after the selection process, you were not the successful candidate. It would give RG the opportunity of not putting the real reason that he is no longer at Queensland Reds on his subsequent job applications.
we should all pray that they keep him!
What is he going to say on his application
Attacking Coach for the Wallabies- lowest scoring rate in the history of the Earth
Head Coach for Western Force for 18 months. 29% win record
Head Coach for Queensland Red for 2 full seasons- 27% win record and encouraged majority of best players to seek playing elsewhere.
The selection committee is going to say - yes lets employ him.

Whilst I dislike dicky Graham as much as anyone remember those in glass houses.....his team beat us twice this year just think about that one.

under another coach they would have slaughtered us!
and we beat the tahs twice-so is Cheika as bad as Graham?
Some would say he's worse because he chose the tahs over the force
Unless reapplying is the board's way of appeasing public opinion by saying all candidates were interviewed and he presented the best case.
If justice were to be served after his history in Australian rugby and specifically his tenure with the Reds, he would have been shown the door and told not to bother applying.
That's my indicator that he'll get the job (unless a Graham Henry turns up in the recruitment process)
