Great defensive effort after the first twenty thought we would be in for a torrid time, but the boys swung the match and kept the rising under pressure for most of the second half.
Burton fearless threw himself at every thing Godwin getting back to his best, Konelia better and better each game, Lacey much better match his best to date. Prior and Lourwens directed well and immemense in defence. Hutchinson did all that wasasked.
Cotrell, Koteka and Hardwick great, stifilled the big hit ups from the rising, Hall great game getting better and better with each game, Haylett Petty did all that was asked, front row huge, the replacements as well, kept the rising on the back foot.
This has to be the best spirit game to date, it was an absolute pleasure watching them today.
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
I've put up a review on GAGR:

Was a beaut day on the hill!
The girls 7s before hand showed some massive hits. Excellent work being done that a girls u18 7s school team can be fielded in a footy state. Someone's working hard.
Smaller crowd yesterday, to be expected, but solid supporters and everyone loving it.
Great game of rugby, good mix of players from the Force, extended squad and Pindan players. Seeing heaps of the Force players down at the game.
Excellent boerie rolls, and super cold drinks.
Well done the Spirit. Great day out.
Nice piece of work, good match and positive comments. I don't know what the financial situation of NRC is, but it is showcasing some great talent. Jonah Placid has put himself up there for the last few weeks. One of the Rising guys noted there are a few ex-prem grade players made the trek from Perth to Melbourne to further their careers.
