I just can't bloody believe it, after god knows how long out with various injuries and playing pretty poorly for the British Lions he's back for the game against Scotland after just 40 minutes playing last Saturday for Newcastle. hahahahahaha What are they up to. I'm still trying to establish if this is a joke.
It's great for Scotland because, as you all know, we just love a bit of pommy bashing. Although we are going into this match a much weakened side from the ideal side we still have good chance, especially if they make choices like that.![]()
Just happy to be here
Jeez you scared me, I thought LTP was back for a sec there.
another bookie suggestion - how long will he last in his frist game 10, 15 mins ?

Gotta admit would feel more comfortable if Wilko doesn't make it to Croke Park besides which if you don't use it you lose it![]()

I'm with thequeerone (never thought I'd find myself typing that!), I think you Scot's are underestimating JW's influence if you think his selection is the easy option and I certainly will be happier if he doesn't feature in the Ireland game. JW has experience neither of the other talked about options at 10 (Toby Flood and Shane Geraighty) have, surely the less than average Scot's have a better chance against an England team organised by one of these less able fly halfs. I appreciate JW has not been able to get much competitive game time recently but Brian Ashton is not likely to select an unfit JW, I have to believe Jonny is ready...on this board we probably all hope he's wrong.
A bit harsh Krusher, even if he is a Pom...just a slight concussion to keep him away from Dublin will satisfy me, you're not suggesting the Jock's would go in for that thuggish behaviour and target him now are you?
I reckon Jonny has proven to be fragile enough without wishing harm upon him Krusher...
In keeping with the "O'Regan Ruling" I trust you'll agree it's not such a good example to be giving the wee ones?

Although it'll probably be a close thing, Scotland at Twickenham seems to have the same effect as Kryptonite on Clark Kent.
Greetings from Scotland 8)
Think you are letting the heart rule the head there Windle, and certainly allowing your passion to cloud the statistics.
i can't believe our own stato (Burgs) hasn't jumped in already to put you right but a quick google tells me that:
England have played Scotland at Twickenham 42 times winning 32, drawn 5 and losing only 5 - hardly the kryptonite effect you were suggesting with less than 12% win ratio.
Let's hope the stats show 6 wins in the Scottish column after Saturday or we may see the return of LTP.
England -v- Scotland
Englands Stats
123 Games
39 Home Wins
14 Home Losses
26 Away Wins
27 Away Losses
7 Home Draws
10 Away Draws
England only have a 41.3% away win ratio against Scotland which is only marginally worse than their Home win rate of 42.9%. Although, Scotland have only won 2 of the 7 clashes since 2000, they did win the last one at Murrayfield...

Sorry FT, getting ready for the big trip South![]()

Green Kryptonite weakens Superman.... as playing at Twickenham weakens Scotland.Originally Posted by Flat-top
