who will be buggering off this year though?
what spots do we need to fill
and who, if any, do we want to keep?
Rasolea, Hoskins, Mafi and Walton gone
Whats the status of Matthewson's contract?
From memory this would be the last year of his 2nd Marquee deal after the ARU agrred to let him stay on?
I don't think we can re-sign him and I don't really want to re-sign him
He's done a great job here but it's time for the others to step up.
mafi, mathewson, hoskins, walton, rasolea already gone.
heiberg, miller, sexton and Nikoro can all go. that leaves us with...a basketball team
Lock looks particularly dire. Would think that foley would be searching for another marquee lock. No idea who is available. Stormers and bulls are full of them. should try and pinch and up and comer like a Ribbans, Kleyn, Jenkins, Snyman.
reckon koch at the stormers would do the trick for us at THP and van der merwe at the lions would be a nice addition at 2. Is Horne out of contract? Inman at the rebs might be coaxed back considering hodge has been on fire lately. carraro might also be lonely considering kellaway is coming along.
anyway, no biggie.....make it happen foley.

From this years list I would want to keep Pek, Gus, Kyle and Mozza and possible some of the EPS.

This is the crucial time when we can set ourselves up for the next few years.
Losing Walton, Mafi, Hoskins, Rasolea and Matthewson are not huge losses. If the ARU is serious about supporting us then they should provide us with assistance to replace these guys with players of better quality and that will strengthen us.
The problem is that every year we just keep replacing the departing players with other players of the same or of a lower standard.
There must be players in Europe who are not past their prime that the ARU can help lure back for us. Longbottom, Kimlin, Timani, etc
I believe this should be the absolute priority of both the ARU and WF. Chieka said the other night there were up to 60 Australian SR players overseas which have Wallaby potential if they return. He has spoken to many of them already, so the players know, it's now time for dealing to be done, but we can't do it on our own.

Yes I think so.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
If we had at least 4-6 top players injected into the team AND a good attack coach the Force would be absolutely rocketing along instead of blathering about and half hearted tinkering at some semblance of an attacking game plan. Get some Fekkin direction + A PLAN, and JUST DO IT, I'm sick of this weekly/yearly trauma!
Prop Pek Cowan is expected to re-sign soon and the club is in discussions with centre Kyle Godwin, who is being chased by the Brumbies, flanker Gus Cottrell and winger Luke Morahan. But there is concern about the hooking role.
Nathan Charles is under a cloud after three serious injuries. Knee damage ruled him out for most of 2013, he tore a pectoral muscle against the All Blacks in 2014 and sustained a serious shoulder dislocation against the Crusaders earlier this month.
Heath Tessmann is coming to the end of his career and Tom Sexton has not performed at the level the club hoped.
Force are looking for one or two new props, depending on whether Guy Millar and Jermaine Ainsley move up to the full squad, at least one centre, one or two outside backs and a flanker.
They are likely to look overseas for at least one second-rower.
Not yet!!

I think for his own career development Godwin should look somewhere else. He hasn't been able to recapture the form of 2014 when he was on the verge of wallaby selection. He needs to find out whether the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and take his chances in a different setup.
