Wallabies star Kurtley Beale has reportedly signed a deal with Wasps which will make him the highest paid player in England.
The Times in London is reporting Beale will become the biggest earner in English rugby after agreeing to a deal worth STG1.5 million ($A2.96 million).
The two-year deal from next season looms as a major blow for Australian rugby, with the 27-year-old utility back one of the country's most exciting players.
He has been in sparkling form for the NSW Waratahs in Super Rugby this season.
However, Beale's 60 Test caps mean he will be eligible to return and play for the Wallabies while playing club rugby abroad.
Meanwhile, Beale could be joined in England next season by fellow Wallaby back Quade Cooper, with a number of English club reportedly interested in the mercurial five-eighth, who has been out of favour at French club Toulon.

Great to see the ARU getting a great return on investment for the faith shown in him during the Di Saga. I guess the Wallatahs can now drain another franchise on the next Wallaby centre, is this an opening for Kyle........

When he started, they talked about "amazing potential" and "he's a prodigy" but it's now almost ten seasons of Super Rugby. I'm still waiting for him to become this "best back in the world" they carried on about.
It's funny, I think they were saying similar things about Giteau, Cooper and O'Connor. When did Australian rugby become like sycophants waiting for the messiah? The culture of our game has changed dramatically since the turn of the millennium...![]()

Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
I'm with TiF. This is potentially VERY bad news for the Force. Kyle could very well be away East 😢
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
With aru now in charge of our recruitment this will be the litmus test on whether they want us to succeed or not, if they continue to allow strong reams to get stronger to our detriment, we will finally know the answer conclusively.
Assuming the worst case scenario becomes a reality and he goes and then also becomes a wallaby, from my perspective the Force has then achieved its goal of having provided him with a pathway from schools rugby to super rugby and ....
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
Lets all calm down people. Remember last year when we there were rumors that Big dog was going to the tahs. Then he signed a 3 year deal with us. Nothing formal has happened as yet with godwin
I just saw Jesse Mogg playing for Montpellier. Was ever on our radar at all? Or we just don't have the money? Get him back here in place of Beale
