Starting a thread to discuss potential Force recruits from NRC 2016.
Sham Vui: has been really good so far, not ready for starters minutes at Super Rugby but could give Ainsley some good competition for the future.
Paenga-Amosa: from the Rams has had an eye catching start to the comp. Hooker is a position we need players for.
Isaac Rodda: from Queensland Country had a very good game against the Rising. Strong Carries, good lineout skills, stuck behind Simmons, Douglas, Neville and Lukhan Tui in Queensland. If we don't get Philip then Rodda would be a good get.
Onehunga Havili: has statred strongly and if continues to put good rugby together in the NRC, he could be worth the upgrade to the main squad.
Mack Mason: like Rodda could find himself down the pecking order in Queensland with the return of Quade, Aus u/20s this year, will be a good player fof years to come.
Richard Woolfe: from the Rays scored a double in week one after leading the Shute Shield tryscoring chart this year in Norths premiership. With Naiyarovoro, Kellaway, Horne, Folau, Cam Clark, Harry Jones in the outside backs division at the Tahds he could be worth a look.
Rowan Perry: from NSW Country is an absolute terrior of an openside, we do have depth there i know but this guy is one of the sleepers of Australian Rugby and is definitely worth a look.
Brad Lacey: Still stunned we let him go.
Jayden Ngamanu: Former Perth boy in the Brisbane City squad.
Another try to Paenga-Amosa. 4 in 3 games. We need a hooker.
As I see it with opensides, we have an old guy past his best and a young one who keeps getting over looked for other players who would prefer to play on the blindside or number 8
Sam Figg from NSW Country would be a better pick up as an open side than Rowan Perry in my opinion. Just back from Australian 7s, he has all the skills and doesn't mind making a tackle. Born in South Africa means he won't miss his mum like some of the others from over east as well.
Figg was very good today, outplayed Perry. The Country 10 Deegan looked alright too.
How good was the last 20mins, big hits aplenty. Dam good game of rugby.
Another strong performance by Izack Rodda. Would give us a nice complement of locks if we get Philip and Rodda to go with Coleman, Matwijow and RHP.
NSW country backrow was immense again. Sam Figg, Sam Ward and Rowan Perry all had very good games, but the star of the game was the 9 Jake Gordon from NSW Country though during commentary it was mentioned the Waratahs were looking at him.
For the Rays Irae Simone was very good at 12. The fullback Marlow? from the Rays also played well.
Some great rugby being played all over the country with some future stars starting to stake a claim for the next level. Some absolutely bruising colisions this round to remind everyone the NRC is for real.
Kala, were you at the Spirit match today? Highest scoring match in the NRC with 102 points. Such fun!
Got around to Watching Rams v Vikings. Heres my thoughts.
Paenga-Amosa continues to impress another great effort from the hooker.
Apo Latunipulu was strong in the midfield for the Rams capping off his efforts with a good jinking try.
Tyrone Viiga. Big bruising no.8 who gets across the gain line with ease.
Nathan Charles had a solid hitout for the Rams in his comeback from injury. How his body holds up is still the main concern.
With so many teams featuring contracted Super Rugby talent it is getting a bit harder to find the uncontracted guys who are looking the goods.
Anyone over this way heard the rumours that Mack Mason is heading to the Force? It's a very good signing. He is a super young talent.
Only heard the rumours, waiting for something official to ba announced.
