Lets just start this off with the successes.
I made the plane on time
I caught the right plane
I found a DVD player that worked
I did not lose my tickets, I arranged for those to be picked up from Subiaco.
I made it safely home in one piece.
Overall a pretty successful trip.
What did happen then
I landed in Perth on Thursday afternoon at 1pm called my Dad for a pick up from the Airport. He had better things to do apparently, so I told him I was going to the pub, which pub he asks,i reply. So I jump in a taxi and i tell the driver to go to
and that's where we go.
I arrive atand sit down at the bar and order a Kilkenny. And kick back and relax. I continue to relax for the next 4 hours watching the world go by, enjoying the 7s Rugby on the TV.
About 5.30 sees the arrival of some very suspect looking lads all dressed up in white shirts and Western Force Ties. I get greeted by TLH who kindly invites me to join the boys in some quite after drink drinks. I am then introduced to Happy, InnFORCEr, Jedi. Sav and the lovely Lonzy and Terri. There may have been more, I am sorry but after 4.5 hours of steady Kilkenny consumption, I was feeling no pain. After an introduction to THE Garden. I was then introduced to Magners.
Let me just state for the record, MAGNERS - is the drink of the Devil.
Its like being hit right between the eyes with a silk lined velvet covered sledge hammer. Never have I felt so crook then I did Friday morning after waking up after that night before.
I think I had a good night, I left early, I think I behaved myself. but just in case I didn't I wish to apologise to all. The Magners made me do it, and the I won't be doing that again. Cross my heart.
Friday Afternoon I arrive atand I met Gerry and Mrs Travelling, Frontrow and Mrs Row, Egan and the lovely Jess and Mrs Sage (
) . I also catch up with Burgs, who I was lucky enough to meet the year before. After struggling thru my first beer of the night, I switch to Coke to ease the pain, and to hope that it will see my survival through the night. After the game with my little brother in tow - I return to
to find Lonzy and Terri. and thats it - no more TWF members to be seen, anywhere. A quick call to Burgs finds him still drinking at the Members Tent Bar. He arrives later.
At midnight the lovelystaff suggest that it is time for everyone to go home. I think that its a marvellous idea and tell the youthful members of TWF that was my plan. My brother suggested I was getting soft in my old age, and that I couldn't hack it any more. I tell him he is absolutely correct and remind him that I don't need to hold his hand if he wants to stay out and play.
Burgs being the gentleman that he is offers me a ride home.
and that my friends is the end of my adventure for 2007.
A big thank you to the staff of.
A big hi and bye to all the members of TWF that I was fortunate enough to meet this year. If I didn't write your name in my story above, my apologies, it wasn't deliberate. The Magners made me do it. It was an honour to meet all of you and I know have a better understanding of why TWF is such a good website.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
t'was the kilkenny that made you crook, Ex! I would have dropped into JB's on the way home, but the queue had already formed - it wasn't big, but it wasn;t looking like getting any smaller any time soon. I did the wise thing and headed straight home. Although it did not gain me any brownie points, I didn't lose any!
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he said Friday night that he wasn't going to be able to give Lonzy any shit over drunkenness until Wednesday because that was when he would get back..?

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
