I'm getting rid of my foxtel but still want to watch as much SR as I can (I will be at the home matches). And apart from going to the pub (which would cost me more than foxtel), how can I watch the SR matches? Does anyone here subscribe to an online service that they recommend (or don't recommend)?
While we're at it, do any of you that are based over east know of any radio stations that telecast Super Rugby in Sidney, Melbourne, Brissy or ACT?

I have a plan to do it - visually. without payment of a subscription fee.
I wont advertise it on these threads. As technically it is a form of Piracy.
Anyone interested send me a PM - and I will provide as much detail as I can.
Its technical - involves computers - so not for the non-geek - tho I could do the set up my self and then post it to you.

It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! Hang on blokes. Not trying to take anything like high ground here, as everyone's circumstances are different. But pirating matches is akin to robbing the game of it's source of income by little increments.
Each to their own but I don't think a supporters website is the place to be airing such possibilities.
Dunno how the ARU is placed for their digital rights compared to the AFL and NRL packages; hamstrung by Foxtel as per usual, I suppose.

You can stream Super Rugby via Foxtel Go app but that requires a Foxtel subscription to access.
Outside of that I don't think the ARU has heard of digital rights.
If anyone has a problem with me providing options - please speak now before I write to those that have requested my assistance.
I was never planning on doing so in a post - only as a response to a PM.

There are legitimate streaming services around, however most of these are geoblocked (http://unblockaustralia.com/geo-blocking-unblocking/)
Good news - it is not an infringement of copyright to circumvent geoblocking.
If you are in Asia (physically or via a VPN), you could pay for a legitimate rugby streaming service through http://www.rugbypass.com/ which looks to have taken over from setanta ...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Pretty sure that you need the sports pack add on to the basic Foxtel subscription to access Fox Sports via streaming so I doubt a single channel option would be there.
With the AFL and the NRL you can subscribe via the AFL/NRL Live pass and stream games via your Laptop, Tablet or Phone. Considerable savings if all you want to watch is either of those codes given both passes cost $89.99
Where as with Super Rugby you're stuck with Fox if you want to watch to watch legally.
I read an article about 6M ago that some of the streaming services were looking into trying to talk Foxtel into essentially subleasing the sports packages. So hopefully soon we can have sports on Netflix, etc.
I dont have Netflix at the moment, but would probably swap from Fox to something like that and pay a bit extra if i could get a suitable sports package
