I had the opportunity to talk to a friend earlier today, he had some information he wanted to share.
* Prospectus for OwnTheForce will be released around the first home game
* Prospectus will show in detail how or when money will be spent (if needed to)
* RugbyWA is in negotiation with ARU to purchase back licence whilst retaining High Performance assistance.
* Influx of Sponsorship monies has ensured that we will not require funds from ARU for years to come **meeting ARU criteria.
* South Africa are now talking about not cutting one team
* The Whole team have bought in to the new Sponsor - they have to - if any player gets caught DUI - the whole sponsorship deal gets cancelled.
* Now the most important thing is on field performance.
I hope that this information helps.....

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

Thanks Exile, great update! These are all logical stages and requirements. Its also not all or nothing regarding our on field performance, but a similar win/loss ratio should be the goal this year as a pass mark.
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
DC confirmed it on facebook this morning.
Over the last few days my management and I have had to front up to my sponsors. Not surprisingly, Land Rover, who for good reason have zero tolerance towards drink driving, have ended their relationship with me. I understand this completely and am disappointed I put them in this position.
Carter's was an individual deal. While it's fantastic to get such backing from Govt, it would be pretty harsh to punish the whole organisation and the members over one act of individual lunacy.

How often does that happen though. everyone gets punished for one person's mistake.
I'm fine with it. puts the accountability onto everyone not to f**k it up for everyone else within and external to the organisation, given that this deal has done wonders for the bank balance.
Has happened in the past over in Victoria with Richmond being sponsored by TAC (Transport Accident Commission) and after a single drink driving incident the deal was terminated.

If a Force player was convicted of a drink driving offence I wouldn't have a problem with the deal being terminated. Especially given as a a part of the deal they have to promote the safe driving message at school etc.

Suddenly it makes sense why they decided to sponsor a rugby team rather than another sport![]()

We need to get a sponsorship deal now with one of all the Taxi companies so the boy can get around without even thinking of driving... This would the best partnership we could get.. I think there would be some type of buddy system to help the younger ones along the way...
Or with Uber or one of the designated driver companies.
Uber Western Force has a bit of ring to it.
The uber road safety Western force? this could become unwieldy.
Most of the squad can probably afford an Uber...
