So McGowan is streamlining the public sector. The bit that caught my eye was:
"The Road Safety Commission will be pushed into WA Police and the Department of Commerce will be slotted into the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety."
Anyone know if this might affect the sponsorship deal?
Seems to be about reducing duplication and costs across the public sector but you would hope the commission retains its name.
Could we become the WA Police (Western) Force?

The name will have to be changed to "The Western Service".
Maybe make all our boys "special constables " and they can warn people of f before making a tackle! Drag guys of for any penalty offence, send them to Headland for a deliberate offence! Keep them in Perth for dissing the West!
Yeah love it! Go the Blue Force!
May the FORCE be with you!
The entity that is the "Road Safety Commission" won't change. All that is happening is that the public servants who work for it will be moved into WAPolice. I don't imagine that the amalgamation in itself will have any bearing on our sponsorship agreement. The Commission is still the Commission and that is the legal entity we have the arrangement with.
The merging of Commerce with Mines & Petroleum will definitely have no impact on the Commission or our sponsorship deal.
