The Scotch College and Aranmore Catholic College rivalry will reignite on Monday, 24 July, as the two best rugby schools in Western Australia face off for the second time this season at Scotch’s Gardner Field beginning at 3.30pm.
The Scotch side enters the fixture in red-hot form taking an 11- point lead atop the PSA ladder with four rounds remaining, with the Swanbourne school looking for back-to-back Brother Redmond Cups.
Aranmore Catholic have long held the reputation of Western Australia’s premier rugby school with the college dominating the CSC competition for many years. This year’s team is no different, boasting eight Road Safety Western Force Schoolboys representatives in their side.
The two sides played out an entertaining match in April, with Aranmore running out 21-14 victors in a tight affair. The Scotch boys led 14-0 at the break in a free-flowing fixture, before a strong second half performance from the visitors saw them storm home to win by seven points.
One-time PSA winning coach Alex Wood will lead the Scotch side, while Pindan Premier Grade title winning coach and Force Schoolboys Coach Dwayne Grace leads the Aranmore team.
Get down to the Scotch College Playing Fields, Swanbourne, on Monday afternoon to see these two talented school side go head-to-head for ultimate schoolboy supremacy, kick off at 3:30PM.
