The penultimate round of the Championship has brought about an intriguing round of clashes this weekend.
With 2nd v 3rd and 4th v 5th and the possibility of all clubs changing places by 5.30pm Saturday makes for a very watchable competition;
Rocky (2nd) host the Pirates (3rd) at Lark Hill, one of the best facilities for rugby in WA
Arks (5th) welcome to their new home Curtin (4th) looking to secure finals rugby
Perth Irish (7th) are home to Swans (8th)
whilst runaway leaders Southern Lions (1st) travel to Kwinana (6th)
Lets see how the tables changes heading into the last round ...
Gees sounds exciting. Now I don't know what to do, support my new club Wests and receive free everything or pack a picnic hamper and head out to the outer suburbs to watch a district club brawl. Tough choice.
I am really a Palmyra troll.
You will never change Darkness!
But as you are checking the thread, I would suggest to go down to the Arks vs Curtin game with plenty on the line.
Looking forward to local derby next season with Southern Lions hosting Pally in the Prem grade ... then biggest impact for Championship will be Baysie's roast beef n gravy rolls.
Sounds like someone is having a bit of a lend of themselves and it aint me.
I think the problem with district rugby players is they are more focussed on hot beef rolls and beer than playing high quality rugby.
The photo put out by rugby wa this week of the leeming and mandurah match highlights my point - bunch of old fatties intermingled with scrawny youngsters.
Make sure you lock your cars at some of those district grounds
Whose brilliant idea was it to hold the Premiership 3rd Grade GF in Mandurah. Pure genius.
Who ever it was need to be sent for a CT scan.
What's wrong with that?
A Premiership 3rd Grade Final being played at 12.35 as a curtain raiser for Championship B final which is a curtain raiser for a Championship A Grade Final on the same day Premiership Grand Finals are being played in Perth.
Real good plan.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Saturday grand final days for years and years have always been this way. Why should it change because venue is changed?
