WA parents slam decision to keep kids off the ground.
The battle between the Australian Rugby Union and RugbyWA took a new twist at the weekend with parents claiming their children were used as pawns in the ugly dispute.
The parents of rugby mascots claim their children were denied their moment of glory at Saturday’s Australia-South Africa Test at nib Stadium because they wore Western Force jerseys.

Oh, I'm sure they can get lower than that!
Crushing the dreams of 46 WA Kids? Try crushing the dreams of every rugby player in the state!
46 kids is the tip of this iceberg.

I'm embarassed to have supported rugby all these years. They have bought the game into disrepute. What about the principles that the rugby is meant to present? Core values? Game they play in heaven? All now a sick joke

Hopefully somebody will be contacting ASIC and ACCC for advice! the loss of *ahem* at leas $180 Million Dollars over the live of the broadcast agreement, not to mention at least $2 Million taxpayers money and the apparent inability to provide any rugby between Shute Shield and the Wallabies.
Ooooooohhhhhhh I get it now!

There are reports on rugby.com.au (where else but on the ARU's own media page?!) saying that some Wallaby players turned up to the junior finals on Sat morning and were verbally abused about the ARU's decision. The clear inference being that was wrong because it wasn't the players' fault.
Can anyone confirm the Wallabies did actually attend as reported and, if so, which of them was there? Was Hooper there? Folau? Genia? Beale?
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
you can bet it wasn't Ads, Tats, Rona or any of the other Force Players.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
Current players? Wouldn't be surprised if the bullshit artist formerly known as Nobody copped a bit of verbal.

Anyway, what the fuck do they think would happen?
Poor little lambs can't handle some shade? Must be tahs

In the absence of a clear complaints resolution process any employee will get the heat for such a poor decision.
They don't have to wear the jersey do they?
Before I get crucified, no, I don't think it's right to abuse the players, but there isn't anybody else to express our opinions to, since the ARU management shuts up shop immediately when the decision is questioned. At least we know that the message has gotten through to the media unit!
Did they happen to mention the Force chant at the Wallabies game perchance?

If this has actually really happened I am ashamed on behalf of these people who would have given them a spray. These players probably thought that they were doing the right thing to show up junior finals and under no circumstances would deserve to be verbally abused.
Would absolutely not say the same for the ARU board though!
I wonder if anything was said to the players or coaches at the Open Training/Public Meet and Greet Day........oh....thats right...
oh that was an epic "oversight" wasn't it....of all the bloody things they could do
My son was one of the mascots who were given "A night they'll never forget" and as reported in the media and was evident for all to see they didn't get the opportunity to run out with the players. I'm still trying to speak to someone at RugbyWA to find out what went wrong and what events led up to the mascots being denied the opportunity to run out with the Wallabies. One thing I can confirm is that the mascots didn't even get the opportunity to meet any of the Wallabies and the closest the kids got to any of their heroes, was as they ran passed them onto the field. I don't blame anyone from RugbyWA for the events that unfolded, I'm just looking for some answers to try and understand what happened, once I find out I'll post it on here.
