It may be temporary (for this round anyway) but at 0604 WDST
www.super14.com reports the Force as being on top of the super14 table after their amazing win against the Bulls.
Im not sure what I enjoyed more, Cam Shepherd's Brilliant linebreaks, two tries, flawless place-kicking or defence, Matt Giteau's brilliance with ball in hand and on foot, Henjak's sniping runs around the breakdown (and a 30m dash up through the middle of the lineout and then the Bull's defensive line) or Hardy's one-two then campese goosestep to score...
for those that haven't watched it - this game is more gold than the away jersey. All those passes that couldn't stick last year (and we groaned in horror at yet another knock-forward) did tonight and the boys were on fire - if they play like this at sea level and they will beat anyone. Oh, and the lineout could do with another weeks polishing...
Im stoked!
damm straight blindside....a brilliant effort....
what about the dummies that hardy threw......and they stuck...

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Great team effort.Thought Junior and Cross were excellent also. Hope Knuckles is keeping a eye on Hardy. He has nous.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
STOKED don't cover it
To stay top of the table both the Sharks and the Blues have to loose (both have 2 wins) - to early in the morning to work out the other combos - but a brillant table position
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Blink and you'll miss it...
Thought I better grab it for posterity...
...though after tonights performance its only a matter of weeks until we are there at the end of a round!
Watched the first half then listened to the second on the way to work. Can't wait to see the rest when I get home. Coupla beers will be well and truly in order. How the hell will Mitch keep 'em of the piss on the way home. Why should he bother![]()

This win is enormous. The Western Force went to South Africa and won twice, played to their best, while most sides use altitude, the fans, the travel weariness, the Force pushed through this all and showed, passion and pride for the shirt and wanted to win...even if we had lossed last night, I never will forget how every single player played their guts out.
But I want to make special mention of Cameron Shepard. When you have the world's best player, playing for your side and probably on double the wage, but you manage to get a man of the match performance and one of the best individual performances ever, it shows what the Force can do.
We may have bling, we may have money, but with the passion of the state on our backs and players such as Shepard believing they still have a job to do and not to leave it all to Matt Giteau is huge.
We may have big signings, but John Mitchell has a side of no egos and a side that plays as a team.
The most exciting thing was, we all could see how much improvement this side has in them. The forward pack really need to bulk up even more next season, especially against the Bulls. The pressure that they exude is something we could learn from.
But what about the interceptions, getting trys not on their mistakes but our own work of brilliance.
The sign "I have faith"
Has finally come to fruition, we have a side that is competitive and has done everything it could to win twice in South Africa, remain unbeaten in the country the Wallabies have had so many problems.
For me, that has made my membership worth it already, as never in my wildest dreams did I expect the performance of a lifetime from the young pack of Force boys.
During our dark days and into the future, the whole club will look back at that one fateful day in the hotbed of passion at Loftus Versfield.
It will realise, that was the making of the culture of the Force.
- The desire to stick it up to everyone who knocks us, thinks we are shit and doesn't rate us and to never give in and accept what they say about us.
We finally have that good old Sandgroper spirit eminating throughout the squad.
And thus, it is a day of great celebration.
Thankyou Force, thankyou very much...
Well said Egan. Youv'e eloquently put in words what I've been feeling since about 5:00amOriginally Posted by Egan
