You are kidding me.........
I don't think they will be getting ANY support from over here.
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
I thought we were hoping for FTA coverage?
Why do we want to hide it away on FOXTEL? Get it on FTA. Besides FOXTEL were happy to see the FORCE die and not help! F ‘em!
May the FORCE be with you!
FTA is the ideal, but a good streaming platform with strong support in Asia as well for mine. Absolutely last thing anyone needs is for it to end up on Fox, even RA.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Well there is that. But I came to terms with it after the Super League War - eventually. For what it's worth, and from what I've read, Fox had little to do with the decision to cull a team. Rat's Arse put thee proposal to them. The only thing I've read where they were even said to state a preference for the Rabble to stay was from the poster formerly known as LMSC - who has not been seen since. I think he/she had an axe to grind there as well . All the Fox commentators - bar the one also employed by Rats Arse - plumped for the Force.
I'n not a great believer in the "cutting off your own nose" strategy to get back at someone.

To tell the truth, I haven't missed fox in the slightest, so it isn't a cutting off of the nose anyway. The dibs and drab of rugby that I've bothered to watch so far have only proven how much impact the axing of the force had on my general feelings about watching rugby. Hopefully some passion will return on may 4th

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
I still have Foxtel, but would only want Force games shown on FTA
Needs to be on FTA so more people can seethe games, also streaming
I have fox also but will vote for WSR on FTA
FTA is so important for participation and knowledge of the next generation. I’m a keen cricket follower and the recent action by the players in SA I do not condone but I still feel for them and their families.
This said when Sheffield shield was on TV in the 80s while I was at an impressionable age all my mates in fact everyone in school knew all the shield players and dreamed of playing shield to then proclaim their pathway for the national team. It was a talking point at school hoping our heroes like graham woods, peter capes etc might get an aussie cap.
Then nine announced it would end this coverage. In a few years the shield crowds not just dropped off but died. The only resurgence of state cricket has been the big bash and that really took off once it hit a FTA channel.
I wanted to be like rod Marsh and lived and breathed the game from these shield games. Throwing balls against the wall at home trying to take spectacular catches in gardening gloves and pestering my parents to join the local cricket team. Never a great cricketer but grew up with lots of friends and people based on FTA coverage of this sport.
So FTA is essential to draw others in IMO
Agree Mothy, the ABC radio doesn't even broadcast the Shield games now, I really miss that. Having games on FTA and having home grown hero's are vital for kids to follow the game
