Anyone seen a crowd figure?
I have watched the replay - I'd like to point out here that I only watch them when they lose - but it was difficult to get any idea.
In an early shot, maybe pre-game, it looked like the top section of the stand was empty.
If they can't get a decent crowd for the 'Saders they will never get one - and after that load of crap they probably won't get one ever again.
Come home guys - maybe next season. We're doing OK at the moment.
11000 I heard
10,500 Kiwis.

Looks like the Tahs have about 20000 at Brooky.

quoted at 11000 by the usual suspects on that cesspool the Roar, so maybe 8500? Of which 5000 would be Crusaders fans, Kiwis and PIs living in Melbourne. Any way you look at it, drawing around 10j for the defending champion is pathetic

Commentators at the ground said 14000-15000. So probably less than that!!!
A few other numbers which show the dire condition of Australian Rugby.
The Waratahs team had 9 Wallabies in the run-on team and 4 more on the bench. 13 of 23 players.
The Rebels had 6 Wallabies in the run-on team and 4 more on the bench. 10 of 23 players.
Dave Wessels, in his post-match presser talked about how the AFL had an "equalisation model" to "give everybody a fair bite of the cherry".
The Rebels have an extended squad of 44 players and no salary cap for 2018.
The Rebels continue to be the black hole into which Rugby Australia pour buckets of $$s.
Clearly some rugby franchises are more equal than others.........
These results and the success of last night certainly show that WSR is the best way forward for the professional game in WA and Australia.
Full of anticipation of what may unfold for WSR in 2019.

Hmm funny that cause a couple of mates told me 8000 who were there. Its actually really hard to get an accurate figure for all the games outside of official WSR matches. So if 8k turned up then undoubtedly 6k were hardcore crusaders fans..
But stuff the crowd.. anyone take note of the score line?? Lol

I nearly choked on my beer when I heard and read that. There is a story on the ARU site.
I have a lot of time and respect for Dave but I am losing it a bit when he says things like that.
If there was equalisation then wouldn't it be the Rebels that would be stripped and levelled in terms of players
He never said anything like that when he was here. Is the pressure starting to bite or are the player not buying into the Rebels culture. Rebels and culture, are they words that sit together?
Rebels and culture is an oxymoron.

From what I was reading in the article, I think Dave was referring more to the travel schedules being equalised. He's not happy about the turnaround the Rebels had in comparison to the jaunt down from Canberra the Crusaders had. I'm sure some of the scheduling the Force used to have would still be fresh in his memory too. His point may be, that if the schedules can't be made easy for everyone, then they may as well be made more difficult for everyone instead; so there's an equal amount of shittyness for all.
