Could our new side compete in Super Rugby
I have my doubts
Thoughts?
I think that the first hit out after 3 weeks of training with the full squad is not a fair assessment.
The play at times was brilliant and other times was scrappy as hell.
Lets make a real assessment after 3 or 4 games.

It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! They might be able to compete in the Australian conference. I'm not sure how many games they could win though. The more important question is this, can they win the NRC title for us this year?
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?

Honestly, I don't think this team could compete in super duper rugby..... Yet, but I don't give two this of a half of three fifths of fuck all. The rugby was exciting and high quality, which means the teams were evenly matched and they played hard. That's what ra don't get, if the competition has adequate competitiveness measures it'll be exciting. I would be happy to see a player impact ranking system which distributes talent around the league so that weaker teams can actually have access to the best players, would even be ok with losing some force stars to other teams to make it work.
And I feel like some 1 year contracts In Melbourne won't be renewed and our team will pick up some quality WA muscle next year.

Yup, I honsetly don't care either; which is probably why I was reluctant for us to play any SuperRugby teams this year; the trolls would gorge on the comparison. I also reckon the IPRC should just detach itself completely from any association with Super Rugby either, just get on with ensuring the comp is even, open and exciting. Hell, if the Sri Lankans can get full houses for their high school football, then the IPRC has got a real chance; and the Sri Lankans are not stupid enough to make comparisons with the All Blacks.

these are exhibition games designed to give the Force supporters some professional rugby content in 2018 while the IPRC is being organised. with limited access to players because all professionals are signed elsewhere. And only a few weeks of training together with a completely new coaching, backroom and organisation.
So no, its not Super standard. We may approach that level as the series progresses, as the boys gel and the other players arrive.
What I hope will happen is that over the next few years it exceeds current Super standard (not including kiwis) as professional players are signed, all the teams organised and coaches appointed.
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
Bison, I'm quite happy for super rugby to continue to be the highest standard rugby competition in the world.
In a few years, that will mean the six teams that remain (5new Zealand and the Waratahs) will be watched by an average crowd of the combined rugby Australia and NZRU boards
Wsr will play o full stadiums with exciting games and the unwashed masses can just enjoy their rugby.
Maybe we could combine with the nrl

I think that might be true.
But I believe that it is very dependent on how the Rebels are treated when they face the Force later in the WSR competition this year.
I am reminded of old school Cricket Chant from Bay 13 at the MCG; "We love you because youre a Victorian"
With a twist that becomes "We love you because you were a Force Man"

As others have said, Nope.
But will with cohesion and new faces.

Good thing, but barely scratching the surface. There are something like 5 teams to be created before next year, in places with even less infrastructure. That is a lot of players that better be off contract next year, even with the whole world to select from. It is not far away, so I hope there are a bunch of people looking past the immediate horizon.
I would like to see some of the young Future Force boys get a game and blood them in this competition. Build up our squads for 2019 and beyond.
