Today at 10:00 AM Super Rugby
by Beth Newman
The Rebels have confirmed the signing of Isi Naisarani for 2019, and the backrower is firmly in the frame for the Rugby World Cup.
Fiji-born Naisarani becomes eligible to play for the Wallabies in April next year, putting him well on the radar for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, kicking off in September.
Naisarani has been on Michael Cheika's radar since a barnstorming NRC season in 2016 for Brisbane City, that earned him a Super Rugby opportunity with the Force.
The bullocking no. 8 will be reunited with Dave Wessels in Melbourne, who he played under at the Force, before joining the Brumbies this season.
“It’s been a big two years for me. I’m really excited to get down to Melbourne and team up with Dave at the Rebels," he said.
"He’s had a big impact on me, and helping me to improve as a player.
“It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was playing for Brisbane City in the National Rugby Championship but I know that I have to keep on working hard to improve myself as a player.
“The World Cup in Japan is a big dream of mine and obviously to pull on that gold jersey would be something very special.
Wessels said he was looking forward to having Naisarani back under his charge.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Isi to Melbourne and it’s a testament to the high performance program we’re creating here at the Rebels to attract a player of Isi’s quality," he said.
“It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to work with Isi again.
“He made a real impression straight away at the Western Force in his first year of Super Rugby, which is no easy feat to step straight into one of the toughest provincial rugby competitions in the world.
“Isi brings professionalism and work ethic on and off-the-track to everything he does.
“He adds a real touch of X-factor and versatility in the backrow and we think he’ll compliment the strength of our forward pack."

How much and who's paying?
I think Nick Politis needs to check his security system. The Rabble have stolen his Salary Sombrero ......hmmmm...Moore Park is pretty close to Bondi Junction. Maybe they just beamed it to Tim North's office like with the Force-Rats Arse alliance agreement.

Still figuring out who is paying who. Typical hey. Not accountability over their major sponsor. They are the most vague major sponsor since Stade Francais got done by a Nigerian Prince scam that almost sent them down two divisions while they were looking at rebuilding their stadium.

Even fire-power looked better than this lot. I just did a search for legacy Property and investment group and found nothing. They appear to be a private company with one employee based in Sydney and have something to do with real estate. No website,, only registered for gst in march this year and not publicly linked with any company other than the rebels.
As far as the outside world can tell, they have one purpose - to give money to the rebels.
Now they might want to conduct their business without fanfare for some commercial reason, but if that's the case, why would they link with a sporting sponsorship?
It smells like one of the trustees has given some drinking buddy a role as ceo of a company that does nothing more than funnel money to the rebels.
This makes a nice change because up until now the rebels has been the organisation that's funnelled money to dodgy Sydney and Melbourne businessmen.

^^ I have tried to find anything about them too and am at a loss.
As for the 'Rugby Victoria Quilt program' all I can find is a mention in Baden Stephenson's press release - there is nothing that I have found about how you could donate, or receive assistance.
The truth may set you free, but only evidence convicts
We could pay ASIC for detail on their records, but I wouldn't bother, the headers for the three submissions are all "change of company details"

Sounds like some more of their ‘creative accounting’ going on again. Would ASIC be interested perhaps.

The mail I have is that Mees Erasmus and James Verity-Amm are going to be play Victorian club Rugby while contracted to the Rabble's 50 man squad. Shrinking to greatness is really working well.
