Australia's post-World Cup exodus is threatening to go into overdrive with news Wallabies centurion Will Genia is close to signing with Japanese club Kintetsu.
In what would be a body blow to the Rebels and Wallabies, Genia has received a final offer from the Nick Stiles-coached club and is close to adding his name to the growing list of Wallabies heading for greener pastures after this year's World Cup.
Reds captain Samu Kerevi is widely tipped to join Top League club Suntory, Adam Coleman's departure for the UK is expected to be announced soon, while David Pocock is contemplating the end of his Australian career. That's in addition to Nick Phipps, Rory Arnold, Curtis Rona and Sam Carter, all of whom have been announced by European clubs.

I wonder if Genia will backflip on this deal, he has past form. He never really wanted to play in Melbourne but Rugby Australia broke the bank to push him down there, i wonder if Rugby Australia will throw more cash at him, i hear the Rebels team song may influence his decision lol.
Quite a list of players leaving, Arnold, Phipps, Rona, Carter, Genia, Kerevi, Coleman and maybe Pocock. Who's next?
Just sing little Willie the team song. Oh that's right it's the Rebels song. He probably hasn't bothered to learn the words knowing he'd be off after a quick deposit in the bank.
For those with short memories:
"The Wallaby number nine said he changed his mind several times over the weekend before announcing this morning he will be staying in Queensland.
"Singing the team song in the changeroom afterwards and thinking I would not have the opportunity next year was a scary thought."
God only knows what teams are currently supposed to be in GRR next year, but if they don't get about themselves soon they won't have any players worth putting a team out against...
And due to to him signing with Bath then moving to Stade Francais a month or two later we still don’t how know much the RA paid those clubs for the release to bring him back to Australia. It certainly wouldn’t have come from the Rabble as they are fed millions from the RA.
Stade Francais were paying Bath while Genia was in Paris and he paid passive Rugby while not injured. Hard to find time for the bloke after these fiascos. He is either poorly advised or just purely dense as he has cost his employers a lot of money outside of his standard pay packet.
And it amazes me how he suddenly finds form pre World Cup or Test match time. The guys a user who plays a few good games and then all the usual crowd talk him up- acka the Quade fan train going full bore at the moment. Are people really so stupid or that desperate to call them the Messiah?
