Recently NRL Chair Peter V'Landys put a line through a Perth NRL team saying “Forget wasting millions in rusted-on AFL states." . He's likely right.
There's no bigger "rusted on AFL state" than the Vics. Yet, after losing around a hundred mill of Rupert's money and still not turning a buck after 23 years, here's more multi millionaires queuing up to tip dollars into the pit. In all that time they only produced 1 first grader.
Are we just seeing the emergence of rich dudes who want to own a team like in Europe? I suppose even tho the Storm lose heaps and only ever developed one first grader in all that time, they rate. So advertisers pay.
The NRL gets billionaires who tip in heaps to get in......... Rugby gets a bankrupt Kiwi who pays a buck, sells for a buck; nobody watches; advertisers run a mile and the losses march on.

Who was their one and only Storm developed player Shasta?
I think it's the coffee
Ah yes, took them 14 years to find him and since he departed in 2014 NOTHING.
Don't deserve to be in the comp if they can't develop home grown talent..
