What's the rumour that rugby Australia are laying off 75% of their staff?
How does that affect the players?
How many of the super rugby teams will go insolvent?
While it's fun to stick the boot in to RA while they're down, this means a lot of heartbreak for a lot of real people who will be out of work in difficult times.
Could they sack 75% of staff without getting rid of ANY players 🤔

Of the ARU directors, who knifed the Force in such a devious fashion, Pulver, Clyne, Eales, Robinson and a couple of others are gone now,
What is happening to the RA and NSW/Qld at the moment is way beyond karma now. I am still a rugby fan and Wallaby supporter and do not want to see rugby totally destroyed in Australia. So I am going to try to adjust my personal views and start hoping the eventual damage to rugby in the east is not too bad. or permanent.
Saw last night that the JobKeeper subsidy apparently applies to players, so that will help at least. It would definitely apply to any stood down staff.
No decision re players as yet. RA still negotiating with RUPA.
The 75% relates to head office.
Raelene has taken a 50% pay cut, leaving her $350K pa to survive on.

Pretty sure Ol Gill in charge of the AFL took an 80% cut and Todd Greenburg in charge of the NRL is not being paid at the moment.
Poor old Raelene!

I thought the 80% was the percentage of staff cut from the AFL head office, not Gillon McLachlan's pay cut, which is reported as 50% (of his ~$1.75 million salary!)
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
My share portfolio is up so I'm not complaining.

I saw something that said Gil and RC both taking 50% cuts, Greenburg only taking a 25% cut!!
