Man, that's a good looking team list! Possibly light on locks, and will need more depth in the back row, but look at the stocks at pretty much all the back positions, but especially 9!
Even without any more signings in the backs we could field a 9-15 (and subs) of: Cubelli, Iglesias, Pulu, Godwin, Kuridrani, Ralston, Kearney (Prior, Lance, Kahui) and still be leaving capped internationals without a bench spot.
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Have we also signed Bo Abra from the Brumbies?
The Jake ball story indicated only one position available, but I'm not sure what impact that will have.Force are not subject to any of Ra's restrictions, so salary cap, squad numbers, number of internationals etc would essentially be voluntary. If they are sticking to squad size, and ball is an option I would expect them to bring a wa boy back, but it isn't that simple.he can't play for the wallabies and therefore isn't really an option with the pathway argument.I reckon they'll keep signing players just as a duck you to the competition organisers

I know lots of things are up in the air ATM, but seeing as our mob are getting (or was that demanding?) equal funds distribution, wouldn't it be fair enough if they had to have similar cap/squad restrictions? Maybe the quid pro quo of demanding, in return for that, transparency/equality of Wobbly top-ups etc. is a bridge to far. So the Moore Park Bunker looking the other way on that one??

My understanding was that this year the Force will yet an equal share of the revenue from SR, so can do as they wish. If equal overall funding were to materialise next year, then having the same restrictions imposed would only seem fair. As you say though, the top-up system could maybe do with a review.
But I believe the Force have still not been officially included as a member of the affiliation? So far, if they have only been accepted as part of Super Rugby comp (of which Twiggy is no doubt still providing funding) then a share of the SR revenue is moot. What the Force do in player recruiting is none of their business. The Force still have no representative at the national table as far as I’ve heard?
All good points
It was my understanding that the force get an equal share of the revenue, but not the representation. This leaves me a little on the fence regarding compliance with Ra policy.
For me, the force are participating under a private ownership model and therefore there should be some flexibility with structures as they have limited impact on Australian rugby.
The number of international players for example should be open, it's not costing rugby Australia a cent, it doesn't take spits away from Aussie players (compared to not having the force) and it potentially improves the standard of the team and therefore the competition.
Squad size will similarly have limited impact on other teams.
Salary cap might be an issue if it means the force can plunder other teams that don't have the same funding model and have good players wearing suits.
NSW has done that for years but that won't stop them crying foul when WA does it.

The Brumbies squad for 2021 was confirmed yesterday.
https://www.rugby.com.au/news/2021/0...gby-squad-2021
Bit that I found interesting was "seven in the squad who grew up in the ACT."
So I went to the 2021 Force list at the top of this forum, which by my calculations we can claim 5 grew up in WA. (Longbottom, Koteka, McDonald, Godwin and Lacey) If Jake Ball joins, we could possibly claim him as well as the 6th.
Hopefully if the recent statements and plans of Twiggy and RugbyWA for player development and building the pathways come to fruition, that our number will increase a lot in future years. Of course the Brumbies had a 10 year Super rugby start on the Force, and then were not recently shut down for 3 years by the RA, and most of their squad transferred to other clubs.
I have updated the list in line with the Force website.
It appears that although announced as signings for 2021 Julian Montoya and Toni Pulu are noted listed so I removed them for now.
We have 36 players signed, but only two Hookers.

Bo Abra not listed in the Brumbies squad so maybe he’s trialling with us?

I've also added Jake Ball as he will be here at the end of March, so that's 37 signed![]()
