I like the look of the starting team.
It'll be interesting to see if Kyle carries his form from 13 into 12 this week
I'm also keen to see if Pulu can remain fit for 80 minutes

Tough on Taefu as usual. Good to see Macgregor back on the bench - I reckon we've looked best with him at 15 this year.
I think we should have the advantage in the forwards, and their backline will be somewhat stunted with Leger at 10. It's bloody dangerous outside of 10 though, so our backs will need to have a good game defensively.
Force by 8.
Great preview from Two Cents Rugby.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Good to see the coaches with quite a few selection dilemmas. Tough on Taefu. Maybe an injury? Maybe to restrict the Canes on the edges early. Kahui and Godwin have defended well together, even if Kyle and Henry get over the gain line more effectively. I like the pack. Get some set piece parity (or better) early and drag them into a scrap.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Yeah you mention defense and I can see a real point to that. The Canes have won their games by scoring bunches of points against teams who can't keep up but also have pretty leaky defenses.
We came within a sniff of beating the Chiefs who are similar (but probably better defensively) so frustrating them into mistakes by defending well could be the tactic.

Apologies if this has been asked before. Is there any pubs that show super rugby? Given the early kick off probably easier to find somewhere near work (Bentley) to watch. Might message Varsity.
The Leederville Sporting Club will be showing the game today, plenty of parking & great beers![]()
