Reesjan Pasitoa (elbow) – “Dislocated his elbow in training and had surgery to repair his ligaments on Monday. Will require a 10-12-week recovery period.”
Papillon Sevele (knee) – “Undergoing rehab in Sydney from a right ACL injury sustained playing for his club.”
Angus Wagner (knee) – “Unavailable first half of Super Rugby following meniscal surgery.”
Jeremy Williams (concussion) – “Recovering from a concussion sustained against the Reds.”
WOW! Pleased to see this season giving clear updates, but some shocker injuries and timeframes here
Edit: The upside, Rodda ISN'T listed!!!
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Pasitoa out for most of the season? Bloody hell! He must be devastated.
Bugger. We'll be short on locks for the Hurricanes...
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Oh no! FFS
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
damn, that is a lot of last minute, significant injuries!
Why can't we have nice things.
well, to be fair Felix and Reesjan are the only two listed as being in the last fortnight
Williams is concussion protocol and I think all clubs will see a lot of that, Hoopert and Sevele were both known last year AFAIK both injries sustained lae last season (Sevele mentions playing for his club which must mean last season) and I'm pretty sure Wagner isn't a surprise either.
so yeah not last minute, but definitely significant. I feel most for Reesjan who simply hasn't seen any footy for the last 18 months and am now worried that their hand might be forced with Rodda. Crono said he's not far off but didn't think Round 1 I'd hate to see him rushed in and hurt again.

I doubt / very much hope that we don't rush Rodda back early. Expect we'll go with the same lock combination as the Brumbies trial - Faifua, Franklin and Anstee covering on the bench. Not ideal, but better than risking a recurrence of Rodda's injury. Would've been good to still have Pugh available.
Props are definitely concerning also, but I guess we've still got Medrano, Moli, Pearce, Tauakipulu, Churchward and Hancock. Scrums unfortunately likely to be an area of weakness given the injuries in the tight 5 though.
