Hynes cleared of dangerous tackle
Queensland winger Peter Hynes will face no further action over a dangerous tackle on Western Force full-back Drew Mitchell in the first half of last night's Super 14 match at Subiaco Oval.
...it didn't seem malicious, just bloody stupid.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Heat of battle stuff - no harm intended. If "the sole arbiter" was allowed to get on with his job without interference from dim witted linesmen, television screens, lounge chaIr "TV Umpires" and hysterical supporters the game might be allowed to flow a little.
And by the way, the scrums last night were a disgrace, and it wasn't entirely the Reds who were at fault. If there was ever a reason for uncontested scrums, I've just seen it.
I've just taken my Grumpy Pills.
What about the one at the end of the game on (I think) Digby, that was looked vicious and should have been carded.
Was it Ben Tune who nailed him??
Yep. Tuney all right. Completely missed by all officials apparently. He pulled of a legal bell-ringer on Ryan Cross as well. Not bad for an old bloke with dickey knees![]()
Hynes lifted ie 'dangerous'. His get square on Defector Drew showed his immaturity, as he only debuted last year. His size and ability are yet to match his maturity. Maybe Eddie does have a point about some youngsters being introduced a year or two before their preferred (developmental) inclusion into S14.
