Six Emirates Western Force Players Named In Trimmed Wallaby Squad
Six members of the Emirates Western Force have been named by Wallaby head coach John Connolly in a revised squad of 37 for to participate in a three-day training camp in Sydney, starting Tuesday 15 May.
Skipper Nathan Sharpe, vice-captain Scott Staniforth, leading scorer Cam Shepherd, Drew Mitchell, Ryan Cross and Matt Giteau were selected in the squad. Departing winger Digby Ioane was also named.
The selectors will utilise the camp to observe an extended squad of players before announcing a 30-man Wallabies squad for the 2007 Rugby Series next Sunday 20 May.
A 25-man Australia A squad for the Pacific Nations Cup will also be announced on Sunday 20 May.
