Fairly brief one, because I came in late..and the topics weren't that varied.
After checking that the tape recorder was on, yours truly got a gift from the Rugby God...and a few bites of pizza. I also ranted about slavery, but no need to expand on that.
Straight into the stadium and we seem to agree that AwFuL is the winner to the detriment of everyone else. Lots of talk, which can be good.
I sang part of the East Perth Royals song...after Exile said Subi was crap and I agreed, pointing out that East Perth is better.
gerry requested "no mungo scores" due to extra-delayed replay.
some fag by the name of thequeerone ( ) wandered in
lots more stadium/precinct talk, intermixed with "mungo"
some people hate others for the mungo talk "qld won", "nsw won", etc..
JJJ failed me on this matter
Exile scored with a kick to the chook.
Pacific Nations Rugby now showing on ABC 2 so the report is delayed a bit
half time so more irc log...
More stadium talk (mostly around transport)
brief mention of TWF jerseys
(half time report in pac nations shows samoa v fiji in swimming rugby)
pruc desparately wants to get a ticket to aus v fiji that he is willing to hand out 3000 TWF cards after the game finishes (i think)
Back to Pac Nations....
okay back. gave up after 56 mins (still on in background)
Much more talk of stadium, interspersed with computer stuff (which is on the increase)
Little bit more of jerseys (but no LarryNJ), groing into much more jersey talk.
MtBeaver Ovaltinie arrives
Exile departs, stage left, causing an almost mass exodus
Coach gets sucked into buying Windows Vista or a computer with that rubbish on it
MtBeaver starts on about his computer
#twf converts to #twf-computer-class
anybody who isnt me, Coach or MtBeaver leaves..or so it seemed
it is at this time, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, that all the talk in the rugby irc channel #twf changes exclusively to computer diagnostics talk, at least for a very long time. I shall spare you the contents.
eventually, talk moves to my schooling time, primary, secondary and tertiary. I was being multiskilled enough to chat in irc and observe the "mungo" game at the same time.
MountBeaver decided eventually that sleep is greater than computer talk in irc and I proposed that irc be closed, so I could go watch the rest of the first half of "mungo".
The End
