When my brother left home, he took with him his computer, and also all of our music that was on his computer.
I have now finished building my computer and I have no music.
I do, however, have all that music saved to my iPod.
I have attempted to get all that music off my iPod onto my computer, yet it doesn't recognisee my iPod when i plug it in.
And ideas on how to fix that and or get all my music on my computer?
Have you hit it yet??
Have you installed iTunes Yet?
Then hit it!

maybe you need to download some program that connects your ipod to the computer. sometimes you get a disk with those kind of things. maybe i tunes.
or maybe you need to HIT IT!
if that doesnt work maybe you need in invest in a hammer to HIT IT AGAIN.
Last time I had an ipod (before it died ONE DAY after the warranty ran out) there was yet to be a program developed that would enable you to actually transfer your "library" from computer to computer.. or ipod to a different computer.
They had all the files and shit available but you couldn't actually transfer them. I was so baffled as to why they teased you with having it available but not working.
So, read the instructions, if you have a new one, should be able to transfer it. (I also found the ipod website rather than the instructions that came with it very helpful).
So, after all this nonsense, I haven't really helped you at all.
Sorry.

I want to be unique - just like everybody else!
and if that doesnt work ... hit it!
"Believe in the best, think your best, study your best, have a goal for your best, never be satisfied with less than your best, try your best, and in the long run things will turn out for the best."
Have you tried dropping it in water? That worked well for your mum's laptop, as I recall...
But if that doesn't work, hit it. In fact, hit your iPod too, for good measure.
Keeping the Faith ... right here in Perth!
Hmm...
This is not working.
Any better ideas?
Umm ask me tomorrow... I think my brother had that issue a month or so ago, I shall ask him.
Adore this life
There is no guarantee
Could end by tomorrow
Ah goodo.
Well... Whatever the problem is. I probably just made it worse
I tripped over the iPod cable.. Which made it fly into the ground also shutting down my computer.
It still doesn't recognize it though![]()

Beav,
They are all giving you bad advice. It's not the Ipod or computers fault so don't hit them.
You need to go hunt down your brother, Hit Him,and take back the computer.
sounds like you need a bigger hammer

I'm go with NJLarry on this one - find your brother - hit him - then do a PC to PC transfer -
