I think Matt is a good choice for captain (provided he stays in the form he's had this season). Scrum-half is a very handy position from which to communicate with both forwards and backs during play. I'm sure some of George's skills have rubbed off on him over the years.

As for Scotty Fava I think the disciplinary issues may have worked against him. Too much grog.

He's been taught by one of the games best whingers in GG, can't see that being an issue. Good luck Matty and congrats

Captaincy is also about seniority as well as leadership.
In terms of S12/14 games and Test's played I would think Matty is the most senior player in the squad.
Playing at a level above others would tend to make him a senior player and therefore a natural selection for captaincy.

What I think has clinched it is the incredible maturity and improvment in his attitude on the field for FORCE. Not to mention getting his personal game back on track.

I'm really pleased for Henjak as he's done it tough and worked through it. It will do him a lot of good to have that responsibility and it will do EWf a lot of good too. He'll be even better next season I bet.
