Glasgow Warriors have signed Western Force scrum half Chris O'Young.
The Australia Sevens player has been signed to the Scottish pro-team from Super 14 side Western Force on a two year deal.
Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: "He'll bring a real competitive edge to the squad and the no.9 jersey. I'm looking forward to seeing both him and Sam Pinder move the team on. Chris is a quality player with a slick service. He's quick off the mark and not afraid to speak his mind."
As well as representing Australia at Sevens in seasons 2002 and 2003, Chris has also represented New South Wales at U19 and U21 levels. He has also played for Eastwood and West Harbour clubs and the NSW Waratahs Super 14 team, understudying Wallaby Chris Whitaker in season 2005.
Chris, who was born and raised in Sydney, joined the Perth-based Western Force for their inaugural Super 14 season in 2006 and was one of only five players to play in all 13 games during the 2006 season.
Aside from rugby, he has a degree in economics and has been studying for an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management.
