Well it's official the Western Force standard membership has reached 19,000.
270 companies taking corporate packages, that means 21,700 fans have turned out 3 months before the first drops of blood, sweat and tears have been spent.
There are still membership packages avaliable - 1300 853 401

It doesnt matter which way you look at it - they are some big big numbers. Very impressive.

It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. Good job that we aren't at Members Equity any time soon!
Haha the Glory can only half pack that place which holds a mere 18,000! LOL![]()
Something better happen soon, as I don't think I could bear to watch to many games at Subiaco Oval!![]()

Is there room to build a facility at Perry Lakes?
I had heard that Claremont FC was going to move to the Showgrounds which would leave Claremont Oval free. They could easily build a 30k stadium there and tie entertainment facilities in with the Royal Ag Soc. That way it would still be on the rail for coming from distance and would have both public and private after match options. Two trains from from Mandurah or Joondalup to the front gate, can't beat that?! Much less noise/light/drunks polution dramas than at Subi too.
Also possibly more central to the closer rugby clubs (Soaks, Cott, Neddies, Uni, Wests) as the outer ones are a fair distance regardless.
Any thoughts?
Well the Force have signed on for three years but have tried desperately to increase the capacity of MES as of yet with no success.
But they will be submitting a bid to the Langoulant Review for Perth's future Sporting needs, with Rugby Union probably looking to get a stadium with retractable seating or the increased capacity of Members Equity Stadium.
I read recently that the figure is now 20,000!
Is that members or including the corporate seats as no.8 mentioned above?
In any case, very impressive figures and a good wake up to the supporters from ACT, NSW and Qld.
The crunch will be the second year figures if the Force don't have such a good debut year.
That will be interesting to see, seperate the "Rugby is the new Black" fans from the real rugby fans and give a true measure of the rugby support base in Perth. IN reality, they *need* to lose members if they are gonna move to members equity. I reckon that the membership numbers (perhaps not including Corporate or Diamond) *are* a true measure, and will stand by them - esp in the early years.Originally Posted by grippage

We have officially reached 20,000 Western Force members now, an amazing effort for a "non rugby" state!!! And all the better that the majority are new to membership of a professional team in this state.
