In Sydney seeing zero advertising for the new comp, and last weeks crowd figures don't make for pleasant reading. The ARU budgeted for an average 2,000 at each game and are still ahead over all.
They need to get off their bums and promote this one, at lot of even Rugger fans are unaware the competition has started![]()
Oh and go the FLEET!!!!!!!
I dont know...I was in Sydney last week and saw at least 5 ad's on TV as well as hearing Radio mention it....
I'm sure it doesnt help that the other club stuff was on that day...and from the ground announcements the previous week sounded like a shemozzle with not enought food and bar outlets.....
Alsoisnt the Fleet made up of the clubs that are the ARC naysayers???
i believe it is gerry, i havent seen much advertising over here either, heard a few on the radio and i've still only seen the tv ad once (middle of the night, tuesday before the 1st game). I agree that the they havent exactly promoted the new competiton as much as they should have, the new A-League season has just started and i've heard plenty of ad's for it on the radio (all stations) and seen plenty of ad's on tv, most of which are on foxtel but the week leading up to a Perth Glory home game i've seen a few on free to air tv as well
Yes they have dropped the ball with ARC Comp. Thier organisation of the apparel has been shocking CCC were on the back foot from the outset. CCC still hven't got the Polo's or Caps in country yet from producers. Seems everything for this comp has been rushed!
BLACK IS THICKER THAN BLOOD
i've been so impressed with most of what i've seen on the pitch.. have not seen a tv add in perth yet tho.. it would be very sad if this comp just faded away. i can simply not belive the tallent that has run out onto the padock!!
can i pre-order a polo shirt through ya or is it that they wont be here for a while.............................a looooong while??
Far to long a wait so far!!!!!

I suspect that a lot of the ARU board and NSW board jsut went through the motions with the ARC - in the hope it would fall over and they could then chant "told ya so".
Very minimal infrastructure support - look how under prepared the refs are.
It seems that only some of unions took it as serious as the coaches and players did.
i would have, but i got my jersey so i'm not as angry as i would have been had i not got a jerseyOriginally Posted by Seldom
and the supporters..........at least the perth spirit supporters (although i think a few sides have been drawing GOOD crowds of 4000+)Originally Posted by hopep
I have seen a few large billboards around Perth featuring the boys.
The ARC is here to stay, whatever those club knobs in Sydney say and wish for. Sydney crowds are strange. They arent like the rest of Oz by attending games in large numbers. Suss out the crap numbers they get to games for League matches. Bugger all per capita. One of the commentators at the Fleet game said.....a good crowd in? Goes to show the abysmal crowds they get for club games.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
Yeah ive seen a couple of billboards around town. I just figured the ARU would have wanted to make more people aware of the new comp with some sort of advertising blitzkrieg
The Fleet are basically a whole bunch of North Shore clubs, and getting admins from the various sides into the same room is an achievement in this part of the world. The Marlins suck btwOriginally Posted by travelling_gerry
Think you are confusing us with Randwick who are still whinging about the comp.
You must watch different channels and listen to different stations than I do, yet to hear or see an ad for the ARC, the mytube one excluded.
