Close Quarters
Just when it looks like the ARC is going to plan, you get a couple of upset victories to throw it all into disarray. The top two competition leaders after last week, Western Sydney and Canberra, both suffered losses on the weekend. And Perth, after losing the comp's top pointscorer- Cameron Shepherd to the Wallabies- piled on 60 points against East Coast. The only predictable result was Melbourne beating last placed Ballymore, but even then the Rebels didn't hand out a drubbing as would've been expected. Now the competition ladder is more congested than ever, with each team breathing down the other's neck.
