CONGRATULATIONS MATT GITEAU,
50 TESTS FOR AUSTRALIA!!!
Matt Giteau has missed a world record by a fair margin but is on target to claim another down the track.
The 24-year-old centre will register his 50th Test cap against Fiji, an achievement four years, 11 months and 23 days in the making, somewhat short of All Blacks fullback Mils Muliaina's four years and 15 days record for the fastest half-century.
But with the Wallabies set to play 15 Tests next season, Giteau might yet come in under France legend Fabien Pelous's record of nine years, four months and 23 days for the fastest hundred.
