in todays sunday times,
"Western force powerhouse back scott staniforth will have surgery tomorrow on the left shoulder he injured during the worldcup. staniforth will have a plate put in the shoulder, he will miss the first weeks of pre season training, but is expected to be fit for the trial against the crusaders in february, staniforths injury came just 40 seconds into his appearance in the wallabies clash with fiji....."
Hope he has a speedy recovery and is fit and ready to play come super 14.![]()
I made Happy sad...

The article said that he should be back for the Crusaders pre-season game, i think!
I'm sure he'll be keen to get back and all - with Junior and Jimmy both out, he'd have a relatively clear run at 12 for a bit.
Didnt the article say he should be fit for pre season against the crusaders??
I agree Harry. If I recall correctly (I stand corrected), they did expect him to be "fit" further on in the World Cup which leads me to assume that initial thought was that the injury was of the sort not requiring surgery. Recovery has probably been slower leading to a reassessment.
am i wrong here or wasnt it AAC that injured him?
Should be back for the preseason... but that's not as important as the Super 14 season. I wouldn't like to see him rush to be ready for the Crusaders and then get in a spot of bother and not be able to play in South Africa.
Gotta have priorities.
But in saying that, ideally he'll bounce back in no time and never get injured again.![]()
