Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
I think it is good all round, short term, long term, and also selected good - other, it's good for Gits
The benefit for Australian rugby is that there will be more kids aspiring to be rugby players, which will mean more star players like gits in the future.

I think this will hopefully see the end of great players leaving our shores to go to Europe for the superanuation fund. The loss of Matthew Burke, Chris Whittiker etc is a sad inditement on Australian Rugby to say farewell to such great servants to the game. Hopefully this infusion of money will ensure that "older" players can play out their playing days here rather then padding their life after rugby away from home.
Ok - i know its a long shot, but I can dream

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
I can't see the ARU spending lots of money on the players on their way out of the Wallabies squad. I'm not saying it's right but the retirement plans will be the same. I'd say they're only going to throw the bucks at the young stars who still have many years of international level skills in them.
Sad really, it would have been great to have the likes of Burke, Kefu, etc stay in Aus.
