After a couple debates / Comments / Questions and a suggestion to post a poll, here it is.
If you think I am missing an option let me know.
I think a group to lead cheers would be a good thing, a bay set aside for TWF members would be better than a cheerleading squadBut with the chances of that becoming a reality non-existent, I think there is a place for a cheer leading squad - I'm much more interest in the vocals than the visuals though.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
If they can lead a good cheer - I'm all for it (Don't care about gender or dress).
Maybe a bunch of us hard core supporters should be allowed around the outside of the ground to co-ordinate the cheers....accompanied by some lovely ladies of course to make people look at what we are directing them to do...
i am thinking we need some podiums for the girls, and vertical bars for the appropriate moves![]()

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
I voted #1! You need them for the games that we blow a 20 pt. halftime lead!
I think we should have Bulls-style cheerleaders in tiny Force T-Shirts who hop in and out of a huge Sharks-style hottub filled with amber beer. This way we could promote the blue and gold colours of Perth to the rest of the world! Optional: We could also have a strong Jedi dude carrying a Highlander-style lightsabre, for the ladies.
lmao hahahahahaha ... I voted for the 5th one ... but I'm just there for the rugby hehehe ... if that makes sence ... it would boost moral wooo ... yeah ... i recon that TWF area would be neat hehehe ... we should sign a petition muhahaha ... and forge the whole worlds ... it could work![]()
I voted 6, but then I only buy Playboy for the Articles.
we should definetly hav cheerleaders i mean i use 2 go to the sharks games back in Durban n the cheerleaders get the crowd goin and are pretty good on the eyes
I vote number one but would like loose morals added to the selection criteria.
Just happy to be here
My preference is the Bulls style cheerleaders. They're adult, do good gymnastics stuff before game and during, and give good cheer by walking around the ground-- definitely not stationary.
When I saw Reds v Bulls earlier on with my ex-gymnast partner, she commented about the Reds cheerleaders: "what was the point- they didn't do any cheerleading". Thinking about it, they shook their bods to raunchy dance tracks, only scampered onto ground if a try was scored, no pom poms, no cheerleading!
Broncos(NRL) had great gymnast cheerleaders at ANZ stadium, multiple somersaults ,the works, mostly teenagers before they moved into Reds mode at Lang Park-Suncorp.
Other S14 franchises seem to have the following Sharks(hot tub-teenagers) Cats,Crusaders,H'canes -teenage (gym) & poms
None- Brumbies,Cheetahs,H'Landers,Chiefs
Stormers have teenagers in black tracksuits who wave flags and are stationary.
I can't remember what W'Tahs or Blues have! Can anyone add the extras? Sagerian?
On a separate issue- I like seeing the mini-rugby junior games held at halftime.
On the vocals issue Coach- any chance of TWF members at least getting seating together to get chants and song going?

Nothing. Some of the juniors that play at half time form a gaurd of honour for when the tahs run on before the game. No cheerleaders of any kind though.Originally Posted by MysticBalls
There was talk about a mascot early this year but it obviously didn't happen.
I'm trying hard to see the problem My'balls, did they have too much clothes on?Originally Posted by MysticBalls

Are you talking about the Kiwi teams? The sheep would in fact be cheerleaders there, not mascots.Originally Posted by The EnForcer
