James is a newcomer to the Emirates Western Force, coming to Perth from Brisbane where he attended the Nudgee School. He was a key member of the Queensland I side which won the Australian Schools Division I Championships in Canberra in July, and he went on to represent the Australian Schoolboys against the England U18s in August and Samoa in September. In 2006, James was picked in an Australian Rugby Union U16s ‘merit team’ after representing Queensland at the national championships in Sydney. When he’s not playing rugby, James likes to relax with friends, go to the beach, watch movies and listen to music. In moving west, he rejected strong interest from four rugby league franchises and another Super 14 team. In rugby circles, James goes by the nickname of “Rabbit” for his unique side step.
