Imagine johnny wilkinson playing for the NSW waratahs, or brian habana on the wing for the brumbies. that could soon be a possibility with the ARU considering introducing foreign stars to the S14 in an attempt to freshen southern hemisphere rugby...

Well I was at this seminar a couple of years ago and one of the speakers was Warren Robilliard ("Woz"). He is the ARU Coaching Education Manager.

Woz was saying that only players who were eligible for selection for Wallabies were permitted to play S14. And that the Wallabies coaching staff of the day had a say in how the S14 teams played certain aspects of their game. This was to ensure that any player selected for The Highest Honour would not be totally unfamiliar with Wallabies' style of play.

I can't see why this needs to change.
