I have no doubt about that. But I was thinking more in terms of next time, when the new stand is installed. At that point I assume all of the corporate members will be relocated into the new corporate facilities and they will presumably look to move a lot of Gold members into the existing grandstand. They obviously rate the grandstand as some of the best seats in the house (hence it all being corporate now), but they planned to "reward" their long standing members by shifting them across I hope they give folk the option of opting out if they so wish.
Andy and BlackSwan and others. I have on occasion been fortunate enough to talk to the Membership Team at RugbyWA over the last couple of years over various different topics. I have on some occasions been given some information that I have been able to share with TWF. I do know that the Membership renewal process for the 2010 season has been the most difficult set of problems that they have ever had to deal with and that in some instances they have had to make judgement calls and deal with delays that they new that we as members would not be happy about.
Considering that the membership renewal process has started, and that they are allocating seats that physically dont even exist at this point in time is a remarkable effort and they deserve our praise.
As far as the new grand stand is concerned - I can honestly say that the topic has not come up in discussions. And whilst it does deserve our due consideration. I for one believe that the membership team could do with a beer or 10 and let them put their collective feet up for a day or so before we hit them with this next problem.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Indeed, it is hardly an imminent problem. Government has to pony up $160M first, so everyone take a deep breath and hold it.....
As is often the case, when you talk to right person then you get the answers you are seeking.
As I implied in an earlier post, my issue is resolved. I am happy that the process has been as fair as possible in the circumstances and whilst I may not concur with some of the judgement calls that had to be made it has clearly been a difficult process for the guys and they have put in a sterling effort. And before someone starts thinking that I'm suddenly sweet because I've had some leg-up on seating allocation, let me be clear that nothing has changed other than the fact that an explanation has now been provided that I can understand.
As for the future, whenever it may be that we get a new stand, all I can say is that based on today's conversation that did touch upon the subject I am content that the current intent is that the same approach will be adopted in future.
So I share your view that the membership guys deserve a beer or ten ......
best midway you'll see more Western Force kick offs....

An update from RWA regarding memberships is that there are new standing memberships available for this year.

I am assuming from this article that all seat requests have been finalised and those who applied for upgrades may have been successful. This is my interpretation only
Which probably indicates they have done most of the upgrading to unrenewed seats and will be firing packs aout imminently.
Anyone found out a dollar value yet?
