Of all the times for a new page...
My feet haven't yet come back down to earth...!
Nobody pinch me in case I wake up!
Has anyone seen Hodgo's "2 million" sledge on social media anywhere? Would love a look
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
No but it is definitely heard on the refs Mic just before the end of the game after him and hooper have a jersey tug competition.
Listening to hooper complaining to the ref was disgusting. No wonder the wallabies are labeled whingers. At one point he complained that all the penalties are one sided.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
I agree. I rewatched the penalty prior to the complaint and it was clear. Hooper broke, then Hodgson in response, then our No 8 takes the ball out of the scrum.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
I'm still high from Saturday nights game.
Pissing down rain and it didn't matter...in fact it added to the occasion.
I don't think I will ever see a better game of rugby on so many different levels.
So proud of what the Force boys have done all season. Against incredible adversity they responded by every player getting better and the team becoming the best in Australia.
But I don't think they could have done it without the enduring support of the sea of blue. It's been an absolute pleasure to be a part of this site throughout the season and see the support you genuine fans have given the club. Congrat's to you all and I hope we all enjoy hearing the news soon of our future being assured. Surely the ARU mugs can't dump us now.
I think Twiggy will prove to be the secret weapon to end all secret weapons. If it's TRULY about financial sustainability, the ARU have just been checkmated! God I love being a West Australian!!!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Saturday night will go down as one of the truly special nights in Western Australian rugby.
It could not have been scripted any better.
It was full of passion, raw emotion, elation, tears and joy.
We arrived in the pouring rain not knowing what would unfold, with this horrible feeling in the gut due to the uncertainty surrounding our beloved Western Force and wondering whether the rugby gods too were crying in sympathy of our plight.
Then Hodgo ran onto the field and we started to lift, then it just got better and better as first Newsome ran in the first try and we lifted higher, followed by Taf and Marchel and then Hodgo's try and penalty kick to close out a stellar career and still we lifted higher.
Then out of the crowd stepped Andrew Forrest and addressed the players and expressed the words of support that every supporter was feeling as to what the players and staff of the Western Force had done for us and them acknowledging it with a cheer of their own.
My son and I like many stayed behind to engage with the players, the last being Richard Hardwick and his words and emotions as to what it meant to him having become a Wallaby through the pathways provided by rugby in WA was inspirational.
What a night, what a memory.
Thank you Western Force
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
My personal story, I no longer own any wet weather gear in Force colours. I turned up clad in my signed 2007 jersey with a thermal undershirt and a red rain jacket.
It was chucking it down when Hodgo ran out and I sttod and cheered as I usually do, but the jersey was covered by the rain jacket. I settled in to watch the game, and shortly before Alex ran in I said to myself "bugger it, I can't watch this game covered up" and took the rain jacket off. It stayed off for the whole game (covered up at halftime for warmth more than anything else.
It reminded me of the last game Gits played against the Brums, bitterly cold night, similar situation. I started the game with the blue showing but had covered up before the end of the second half.
So much better doing it this way!
C'mon the
