Just read on another forum from a poster that has supposedly seen the details for this comp that it will replace the Pacific Rugby Championship and will at least intially span 10 weeks. From the sounds of it the IRB appears to be pushing it.
Got a link? If it's true, then this competition that we're not in sounds better and better >_<
I've been trying to get some more information from him but it appears that he's currently logged off. He did mention that he would be able to disclose more detail later in the week so I guess we'll have to wait til then. Personally, I think RugbyWA should observe this competition to see if its worthwhile and then push to enter in 2012 if possible.
The Brumbies website says the Brumby Runners have 9 games next year (including one against the Force Academy), which doesn't really tie in with a 10 week format.
We can only speculate at the moment. Once he discloses more detail perhaps we will know more.

Confirmation of the fixture (to be played on Friday, 4 February) comes after last week's announcement that the Waratahs will play a double-trial against the Western Force (on Thursday, 10 February) at Shoalhaven Rugby Park in Nowra on the NSW South Coast.

Double trial against the Force? It all seems to be on the same day so whats the go with that? Like First XV and Academy games?
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
